Effect of Lateral Laser-Cladding Process on the Corrosion Performance of Inconel 625

This study aimed to evaluate the corrosion properties of different samples coated by laser-cladding method find optimal laser parameters. Thereby, potentiodynamic polarization (Tafel) and electrochemical impedance tests were performed assess resistance samples. Consequently, morphology tested was inspected scanning electron microscopy. The results demonstrated that power directly correlates with pitting defects on surface Moreover, when molybdenum chromium ions are increased in electrolyte solution, passive protective layers more durable, as sited within holes defects, reducing rate.
